Your first visit
About an hour, and you
leave with a plan in writing.
No pressure to book treatment on the day. The purpose of the consultation is a diagnosis and a document you can take away, think about and compare.
Why patients come here
- Practice limited to prosthodontics and oral implantology
- Every case CBCT-scanned and fully guided
- IV conscious sedation available in-office
- A written, itemized plan before anything is scheduled
The appointment
Five things happen, in this order.
History
Medical history, medications, previous dental work, and — the part that matters most — what you actually want back.
10 minExamination
Remaining teeth, gums, bite, existing restorations and any current implants assessed clinically.
15 minImaging
CBCT scan, digital intraoral scan and photographs. Reviewed with you on screen.
15 minOptions
The realistic routes, with the trade-offs of each — including doing nothing, and including non-implant options.
15 minWritten plan
An itemized estimate separating surgical from restorative fees, plus expected timeline. Emailed and printed.
Take homePreparation
What to bring, and what to expect.
Bring with you
Helpful to have
- A list of your current medications and doses
- Any recent X-rays or CBCT scans, ideally as raw data files
- Your dental insurance card, if you have coverage
- The name of your general dentist, if you have one
- Any existing denture or appliance, even if you no longer wear it
What we will not do
Our side
- Ask you to decide on treatment during the appointment
- Quote a figure verbally without putting it in writing
- Recommend implants where a simpler option serves you better
- Begin treatment before your plan is approved by you
- Charge for the imaging separately from the consultation fee
Afterwards
Between the consultation and the surgery.
If you go ahead, the plan moves into design. Your scans are used to build the finished teeth in software and to position the implants that will carry them; a surgical guide is printed from that plan. This normally takes one to two weeks, and you will see the design before it is approved.
Where a medical clearance is needed — certain medications, cardiac history, diabetes control — we correspond with your physician at this stage rather than on the morning of surgery.
If you decide not to proceed, or to have the work done elsewhere, your records and imaging are shared on request. The scan is yours.
Start with a scan and a straight answer.
A consultation includes an examination, a 3D scan and a written, itemized plan. If implants are not the right treatment for you, we will say so and tell you what is.
